The TDA2030 offers high output current and very low harmonic distortion. In addition, this device incorporates a short circuit protection system that automatically limits the power dissipated to maintain the working point of the output transistors, ensuring their operation. It also includes a conventional thermal shutdown system.

The TDA2030 is powered by a dual source. For this reason, the power supply design of this amplifier is a voltage doubler that converts the alternating current to direct and, as the name implies, doubles it. This avoids having to get a transformer with central TAP, just enough a simple 12-volt transformer to 4 amps, to work perfectly.
